You Create Your Future

"You will become as small as your controlling desire; as great as your dominant aspiration"

-James Allen

The Laws of Creation (Part Two)
In my last post, I explained the importance of the 'how?' question and how it's related to forming the future you desire. I also introduced the laws of creation and explained the first three laws: The Law of The Source, The Law of Confusion and The Law of Meditation. If you missed out on that post, you can read part one of the series here.
I explained that you need to know where your vision is coming from (The Source), you need to think about the vision (Confusion) and you need to speak positively into your future (Meditation). Now, I'll be explaining the Laws of Illumination, Environment and Season.

3. The Law of Illumination
"... Let there be light..." (Gen1:3). We all have that moment when one minute, you're thinking about something and then the next minute, it seems as if a light bulb just lights up in your head. It feels like all the darkness in your head has been cleared and all you see is the way forward. The good news is that on matter how long you think, that light bulb is bound to come on. God knew this and spoke positively by commanding that light on (Law of Meditation). You can do the same.

4. The Law of Environment
"And God said, let there be a firmament..." (Gen1:6). God needed an atmosphere in which to create everything you see today. You do know the popular saying, "show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are", well, this fully obeys this law. You can't decide to be successful when you're surrounded by people with no vision of success. God couldn't create life in an atmosphere surrounded by emptiness and space, He needed something different. There is an atmosphere for everything and everybody. The moment you start moving and talking with like minds, you create a whole new atmosphere for success to breed in. Also, even though you have no clue as to what your vision is, the moment you associate yourself with people that can answer the 'how?' question, your whole life lights up and you suddenly know the next thing to do. The environment can change you depending on what is in you.

5. The Law of Times and Season
"And God called the light Day..." (Gen1:5). Well, you can't eat your food before preparing it, can you? You need to know when to work and when to chill out, when to learn and when to teach. This is the time to get the resources you think you need, like the contacts, friends, materials, surveys, etc. You get the details for your goals, be it in business, career-wise or family. This could take from months to years, depending on you. But it's worth the wait.

In my next post (part three), you'll get to know the last three laws (i.e. The Laws of Order, Integrity and Perfection).

Does thinking have a time frame? Is there a particular amount of time in which you think before acting on your goal? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

  1. I really enjoyed the post & agree with all the points made. The second point is so true; having the right kind of friends can make a whole lot of difference.

Yes, time is needed to think so you can build a framework of your vision. But don't think for too long. Acting & thinking are entwined. Ideas & your vision evolves as you act.

  2. Interesting post, Lanre.

I think our inner selves tell us when to lead and when to follow, when to push and when to chill, but too often we're too pigheaded or too zoned out to listen.

Too often our worlds and our minds are filled with too much noise and clutter to hear the little voice within.

Thanks for reminding us not to stay on "automatic."

I'm glad you enjoyed the post. I think I quite agree with your point, 'ideas and vision evolve as you act'. The closer you move towards your goals, the more ideas you get to refine it and the clearer the vision becomes. Thanks for your comment.

I agree with you on that. We must learn to listen to that inner voice in our heads if we want to move forward. I appreciate your comment.

  5. I love the Law of Illumination. When I slow down long enough to actually "listen," I find myself receiving ideas I would never have thought of on my own. It's all a matter of tuning in rather than tuning out. I enjoy your blog and I'll be back!

Taking a break and tuning in connects you to the superconscious. This can make your ideas seem superhuman. I'm glad you love the post and thanks for your comment.

  7. An Interesting way to say clean out the negative andf keep the good. I enjoyed this point of view. But we must also be careful of the things that come from ourselves, be constantly aware of what we put out as well.

Yes, sometimes we influence others without knowing it. Making that influence positive would be much better. Thanks for your comment.
